Stuart Tilbury captures the beauty of Dumfries and Galloway in a unique and mesmerizing way. Read more about Stuart’s passion for this region and the motivation behind his photography below, while of course enjoying some of his many beautiful works.
My love of the Galloway Forest started from a young age. Vivid childhood memories of visiting Murray’s Monument and Greymares Tail waterfall gave way to return visits as an adult, showing my own children the beauty of the Raiders Road, Otters Pool, the Red Deer Range and Clatteringshaws Loch.
My love of photography led me back again; dawn visits to Stroan Loch, the Lowran Burn and Clatteringshaws gave great photo opportunities, magical mornings providing me with lasting memories. The stunning Glen Trool has atmosphere and drama to match that of the highlands, an amazing place to visit any time of the year. Galloway really does have it all, I feel privileged to live in such a scenic part of Scotland.

Stuart defines himself as an amateur photographer, though he is probably just being humble. Based in Dumfries and Galloway, much of his photography captures the natural beauty present in this region. Check out more of his work on his social media accounts below.
