Local Events – Raiders Gravel

Raiders isn’t just about the bike there’s far more happening each evening in Garries Park. Whether you’re a resident, rider or just curious, everyone is welcome. Get your free tickets below.

Competitors (with an official entry to the full Raiders Gravel event) do NOT need to secure a ticket for any of the evening activities EXCEPT the Social Ride.

THURSDAY (6pm) - SOCIAL RIDE

Join us for a casual ride out to Carrick Bay, a local favourite and enjoy the scenery and amazing views from the cozy beach. The ride is open to all and we encourage event participants, supporters, local residents and anyone else interested to join us for a great ride.

We’ll be joined by Mostly Ghostly for local storytelling to dive into the history of the area and Way of the Wild for fire and marshmallows.

Ride departs Garries Park at 6pm on Thursday, 31.08.2023

THURSDAY (8:15PM) - BLACKBIRD OPERA

Led by local Soprano Claudia Wood, Blackbird Opera bring experience from performing all over Britain, as well as class and something different to Garries Park.

Enjoy this unique performance in the heart of Gatehouse at the Raiders Gravel Event Village.

Performance begins on Thursday, 31 August 2023 @ 8:15pm

FRIDAY (8pm) - ADVENTURE TALKS

Adventure biking legend Markus Stitz will chat with Vendangi Kulkarni the youngest woman to ride round the world, and Rich and 11 year-old James Rothwell who rode the gruelling Highland Trail 550 in May.

SATURDAY (6:30PM) - LIVE MUSIC

Saturday night’s alright for riding! Oh, and live music!

Grab some food, maybe a beer join us and Dumfries based band The Dogz for classic tunes in their own raucous, raw rock ’n’ roll style!
