At Raiders Gravel Galloway we are committed to protecting, conserving and promoting the unique natural surroundings that enable us to explore on our gravel bikes. As adventurers we all have the responsibility to do our part, therefore we are supporting the following two initiatives.

Big Plastic Pledge

We, as event organisers, want to help save the planet by eliminating single use plastics and encouraging as many people as possible to change their habits. The actions we take matter. If a whole sporting community changes their habits, we can create a tidal wave of change that will be felt in every corner of the globe. For this reason we have partnered with the Big Plastic Pledge, which was founded by Hannah Mills, an Olympic gold and silver medallist sailor and an IOC sustainability ambassador. Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere

Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere has been recognised internationally as a world class environment for people and nature. The UNESCO Biosphere designation is recognition of the fantastic array of landscapes, wildlife, cultural heritage and learning opportunities that SW Scotland offers for communities, businesses and visitors to experience and celebrate in a sustainable way. A Biosphere is a place of cooperation and collaboration that shows that a sustainable way of living is not only possible but already happening! We are working closely with the Biosphere to conserve and promote this unique area of Scotland.
